Mole Rat Potentially Be Cancer Drugs Future - Cancer is a deadly disease so as treatment also has a very important meaning for one's survival.
A new breakthroughs in the field of cancer treatment is currently being developed by scientists. Treatment which is claimed to potentially " change of life " that is, take advantage from cancer immune cells from type animals that called naked mole rat.
The team of scientists have studied for 16 years to study mice with the scientific name Heterocephalus Glaber. They believe, certain substances from their cells useful for destroying cancer in humans and other mammals.
Aaron Avivi study researchers from the University of Haifa, Israel, said the 16 year period of the study, a team of scientists have never found any cancer in naked mole rats. In contrast to most other mice are not found in the 20 year period.
The study, published in the journal Biomedcentral ( BMC ) Biology of the finding, moles metabolism evolved more or less triggered by the environment they live in the soil.
In this study, scientists conducted a number of experiments in normal mice and moles. They exposed mice to the potent carcinogen to trigger the growth of cancer in mice. The result despite normal mice have a tumor, the naked mole rats did not find cancer cells in the body.
"Naked mole rats are not only resistant to cancer that occurs naturally, but also from induced cancers, " the researchers said.
According to mole rat that potentially be cancer drugs future, needed for exploration down to the molecular level mechanisms that can explain why naked mole rats are better able to survive in extreme environments. As well, how the immune cells in their body can avoid cancer because can kill cancer cells homologous or heterologous.
